Replicator dynamics with turnover of players
We study adaptive dynamics in games where players abandon the population at a given rate and are replaced by naive players characterized by a prior distribution over the admitted strategies. We demonstrate how such a process leads macroscopically to a variant of the replicator equation, with an additional term accounting for player turnover. We study how Nash equilibria and the dynamics of the ...
متن کاملReplicator Dynamics in Protocells
Replicator equations have been studied for three decades as a generic dynamical system modelling replication processes. Here we show how they arise naturally in models of self-replicating polymers and discuss some of their basic properties. We then concentrate on a minimal dynamic model of a protocell by coupling replicating polymers with a growing membrane.
متن کاملReplicator dynamics with diffusion on multiplex networks.
In this study we present an extension of the dynamics of diffusion in multiplex graphs, which makes the equations compatible with the replicator equation with mutations. We derive an exact formula for the diffusion term, which shows that, while diffusion is linear for numbers of agents, it is necessary to account for nonlinear terms when working with fractions of individuals. We also derive the...
متن کاملStochastic Replicator Dynamics
This article studies the replicator dynamics in the presence of shocks. I show that under these dynamics, strategies that do not survive the iterated deletion of strictly dominated strategies are eliminated in the long run, even in the presence of nonvanishing perturbations. I also give an example that shows that the stochastic dynamics in this article have equilibrium selection properties that...
متن کاملMolecular Replicator Dynamics
Template-dependent replication at the molecular level is the basis of reproduction in nature. A detailed understanding of the peculiarities of the chemical reaction kinetics associated with replication processes is therefore an indispensible prerequisite for any understanding of evolution at the molecular level. Networks of interacting self-replicating species can give rise to a wealth of diffe...
